Thompson, CT (June 13, 2005): The New England Dodge Dealers 100 at Thompson International Speedway was postponed when a band of rain showers moved in over the 5/8th’s mile oval in the early afternoon. The light, but steady rain lasted for more than three hours before NASCAR and track officials were forced to pull the plug on what was the third attempt at the Busch North Series, Grand National Division season opener. A reschedule date has not yet been announced.
The series moves on to Stafford Motor Speedway for the running of the Aubuchon Hardware 150. The event is scheduled as a one-day show on Friday, June 17, with one long practice session from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. leading to Busch Pole Qualifying at 5:15 p.m. and the green flag at 9:00 p.m. The race will be televised live, in high definition, on HDNet. SPEED Channel will provide an enhanced replay on Friday, July 8 at 2:00 p.m.
