Wall Race Canceled; Stefanik Finishes Season Fifth

Wall Township, NJ (October 16, 2004):  A late-afternoon shower and threats of severe thunderstorms for the area, forced track officials to throw the flag on Saturday night’s running of the Trimspa 150 at Wall Township Speedway. It was the second and final attempt for the track, which made its debut appearance on the schedule this year.

The cancellation of Wall Speedway concluded the 2004 regular season.

Mike Stefanik, driver of the No. 55 Burnham Boilers Chevrolet finished fifth in the final point standings with five top-five and eight top-10 finishes. The team will be recognized for their accomplishments at the annual awards banquet on December 17th at Mohegan Sun Casino and Resort.

Post-season action will commence on November 11th as Stefanik attempts to capture the accolades at the Toyota All-Star Showdown at Irwindale Speedway in California. The Showdown pits the Busch North Series against its Grand National Division counterpart, the West Series, in an invitation-only race which awards individual and team efforts. In the 2003 inaugural, the Busch North Series won the team title with 10 of the top 12 finishers.
