Stefanik doing double duty at Nazareth

By Dave Spaw

Denver, NC. 05/03/00  –  To prepare for this weekend’s race, the CTS team spent their Fourth of July weekend testing the Coyne Textile Services Chevrolet at Nazareth Speedway. The test went well with many improvements made to the car and some insight as to what can be done to find even more speed. Driver Mike Stefanik felt at home at Nazareth. With 28 starts at Nazareth Speedway, Mike Stefanik holds the record for the most starts at this 1mile track. This weekend he will add two more starts as he does double duty. In addition to his regular #90 Busch car on Sunday, Mike will be driving the #26 NASCAR Modified car on Saturday at Nazareth. Mike has driven in five different series and has two poles and two wins to his credit here.

Mike Stefanik say’s " Nazareth has a lot of characteristics that make it very tricky and demanding. You have a unique track shape that also runs slightly up and down hill, coupled with varying degrees of banking. This makes this track difficult to drive as well as set the car up. I have driven here a lot, in five different types of cars so I know what I am looking for out of the car. Corrie Stott has also had success here in the past and I think that together we have come up with a good combination for this new car".

Coyne Textile Services is the largest independently owned industrial laundry operation in the United States, with 44 locations serving nearly 50,000 customers in 26 states including the District of Columbia. CTS processes more than one million work garments, seven million shop and printer towels and several hundred thousand gloves, mats and mops each week.
